Rock is a fun, high-energy and interactive presentation that uses music to help teach children the methods and skills to prevent bullying and drug use.
Children learn their ABCs by singing them. Rock uses songs as teaching tools to help children retain the skills taught. Rock trainings are youth led, interactive and effective.
At the beginning of the day, Rock LIVE Presenters train 15 to 30 local high school students to assist Rock presenters in leading the interactive activities that teach refusal skills, bullying prevention methods and life skills.
Teachers and students participate side by side to help create a caring community. The local role models provide great examples of how to be successful in school and in life.
Rock trainings are conducted for children in K – 8th Grade. Classroom Follow-Up Guides, Family Follow-Up Guides and CDs are used to reinforce the lessons taught.
Written evaluations are implemented with students, teachers and high school mentors. A fidelity checklist is utilized by the school contact.
Rock Family Follow-Up Guides and songs facilitate meaningful conversations between parent and child regarding making healthy live choices.
